Jisshu Sengupta began his career with a television series called Mahaprabhu on Doordarshan, where he received praise for playing the younger version of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. After his role in the series ended, he made his film debut in Priyojon, directed by Dinen Sengupta. Unfortunately, the film didn’t do well at the box office or with critics.
